After two and a half years running The AI Advantage, I explain why the moment for AI agents has finally arrived…and what I’ve built to help businesses get ahead of it.
There’s something slightly nuts about battling with an old-school printer while an AI quietly builds you a sales database in the background.
But that’s exactly what Claude Cowork’s new Dispatch feature opens up. You set the task, it cracks on with the work, and you carry on with your day. This isn’t just another AI tool. It’s a shift from “AI you talk to” to “AI that actually does things.”
According to the ONS, just 1 in 5 UK businesses are using AI in their operations. Meanwhile, the technology is advancing at breakneck speed, and those who've cracked deployment are seeing transformative productivity gains. So why the lag? I've identified six critical barriers holding businesses back - from the Sausage Blog trap to the curse of Shadow AI. The good news? They're all addressable.
I’m usually properly suspicious when people announce things due to ‘popular demand’, but in this case, it’s true…

Using ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode, I re-created the classic British sitcom, Fawlty Towers. Or should I say Fawlt-AI Towers?
As ever, I've been mucking around with ChatGPT's amazing Advanced Voice Mode when I really should be finding more productive applications of it...but, as I always say, pushing the boundaries with this stuff builds our confidence on how it can be deployed on 'proper' tasks.
So, as an 80s kid, I grew up watching repeats (endlessly) of the classic British sitcom Fawlty Towers. I don't think there's a line in the script I could't recite backwards.
Therefore, to push Advanced Voice Mode I gave it a voice prompt that I wanted to hear a 'radio' style audio play of Basil Fawlty interacting with various characters in the John Cleese and Connie Booth comedy; including Manuel, Sybil, the Major, and of course, some German guests. There are a couple of edits in the video where ChatGPT got itself concerned with its own guidelines, but other than that, this is pretty much verbatim on the chat.
AND YES....it's not particularly funny. These tools aren't - thankfully - that good at creativity. What I'm trying to show is the dexterity of the voice model, jumping between an array of characters as the story is generated on the fly.
Enjoy!
I used Claude Dispatch to turn a very messy pile of contact data into a working CRM for my business. What started as a tidy-up job quickly became something much bigger: contact consolidation, CRM build, secure hosting, Mailchimp sync, proposal tracking and a client area for workshop resources.
I used Claude Dispatch, Claude Cowork and Claude Code to tackle a messy business problem that had been bugging me for ages: contact data scattered across spreadsheets, mailing lists, workshop records and buried email threads. What started as a tidy-up job quickly turned into something much more interesting. First, Claude consolidated everything into one clean sheet with duplicates removed. Then I pushed it further, asking it to scope and build a working CRM for my business. In this video, I walk through how that happened, how the CRM was taken online securely, and how I then extended it with Mailchimp syncing, proposal tracking and a client area for workshop resources. If you’ve been wondering when AI moves from “interesting assistant” to something that can properly crack on with real work, this may be one of those moments.
